Pubs, restaurants inundated in Sauraha

RATNANAGAR: Over a dozen pubs and restaurants at the Rapti River bank in Sauraha in the district have been inundated by flood this morning.
A local restaurant entrepreneur Shirlal Pariyar informed that over a dozen pubs and restaurants were inundated due to the flooded Rapti.

Similarly, Bachhauli Police Post In-charge Shyam Babu Yadav said that the flood inundated the areas but no erosion was witnessed. Settlements near the river bank area in the district have been inundated by flood triggered by incessant rainfall since last night, it is learnt.

Likewise, a landslide has occurred at remote Kaule village in the district but the details of the loss caused by the landslide is yet to be confirmed, said chief district officer (CDO) Binod Prakash Singh. RSS
