Hotels shutdown due to lack of cooking gas in highway

Oct 10 2015 | 08:52 pm

Gajuri (Dhading): Many of the hotels in the district headquarters of Dhadingbensi and along the Prithvi Highway in Dhading district have ceased to operate due to acute shortage of cooking gas after the India’s blockade for more than two weeks.

The hoteliers have said that they have failed to meet the demands of the customers and decided to close the hotels after not getting the LP gas.

Likewise, the hotels established by targeting the passengers along the highway have also reduced the food items for their attempt to minimise the use of cooking gas.

Nearly 50 per cent of the hotels in the district have already closed while some others have managed to offer foods by using firewood in cooking. RSS
